Finding a location that feels like a secret discovery
It all started with the most important question – how do you want the event to feel? Not how many guests there will be, not what design, or even what style of canopy. Just a feeling. The search eventually led to a wild area among loquat groves, next to a small stream, in the most beautiful and green area of Bat Shlomo. A place that doesn’t feel like an event location at all. And that’s exactly what was magical about it. When the Makers team arrived at the area for the first time, it was clear that there was something special here. The light that came through the trees just before sunset, the evening breeze, the smell of the earth and that feeling of living, not overly designed nature – everything already felt like the beginning of a love story full of magic. But here also begins the part that people don’t see much on Instagram. Because an open-air wedding doesn’t start with design. It starts with crazy logistics.

Creating a wedding from scratch in the middle of nature is much more than bringing a few tables and a DJ. You need to inspect the area in depth, understand infrastructure, electricity, accessibility, lighting, sound, guest accessibility, weather, set-ups, suppliers, safety, operations, and most importantly, make all of this work perfectly without the couple feeling the pressure even for a second. And that’s exactly where the Makers team comes into the picture. One of the most beautiful things about this wedding was that it didn’t try to overshadow the location. There were no heavy elements or design that screamed itself. On the contrary – everything was built from the landscape itself. Sand tones, deep greens, natural wood, warm lighting among the trees, seating areas that seemed like they had always been there and a bar that felt like an integral part of the area. The guests’ experience was also built completely differently. Instead of immediately entering a hall with booths and tables, guests entered a place where they walked through the orchard, met people among the trees, heard music that mixed with the sounds of nature and felt that this evening was working at a different pace. And that is exactly the difference between a beautiful event and an event that has a soul.
A calm sunset for a party that they didn’t want to end
The event started at 6:30 PM, with excellent food, cocktails and wine, just as the sun was starting to set and the valley was painted in crazy shades of gold. The chuppah took place in front of the open landscape, with a pleasant breeze, huge skies and lots of emotion in the air. Then the meal began, light, rustic, insanely delicious and full of good energy. People walked around with drinks in hand, moving between different corners of the grounds, eating, talking, laughing and just getting into the atmosphere.
But then the night started to change colors
The lighting became deeper, the beats got louder, and the pastoral area of the evening hours turned into a crazy party in the middle of nature. Several DJs changed throughout the night and each of them took the stage to a different place. At some point, it no longer felt like a wedding but like a small and super precise festival in the heart of the plantations. And maybe that’s exactly what made this event so exciting and unforgettable. It didn’t feel overproduced and made-up. It just felt real and precise.
